Abstract:
This paper aims to contribute to the issue of local governance as a strategy for educational development in Mali. Based on the theoretical aspects of governance, it presents the arguments and issues of local involvement in the management of education. It then analyzes the policy approval by the local actors, based on a field survey conducted in the regions (Kayes, Koulikoro, Segou, Sikasso) and the District of Bamako. Finally, it assesses the development of education in different regions through the index of educational development
