Governments in Sub-Saharan Africa have, since the 2000 World
Education Forum in Dakar, demonstrated high commitment to
achieving Education for All (EFA) by 2015. In collaboration with
development partners, a number of initiatives have been
introduced with the aim of expanding access to school education,
especially at the basic education level.
