dc.description.abstract The study sought to ascertain the effect of forgiveness education on the forgiveness and psychological well-being levels of married couples in the Adentan Municipality in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. A quasi experimental research design was used. Marital Offense Forgiveness Scale and the 18 item Ryff’s psychological well-being scale were used to obtain pre and post-intervention data A convenience sample of 104 participants consisting 32 couple pairs in experimental group and 72 couple pairs in control group were involved in the study. Participants in the control group were educated on forgiveness using C-REACH forgiveness education. Data were analysed with both descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicates that forgiveness education had a significant effect on forgiveness and psychological well-being levels of married couples. However, sex, age and duration of marriage did not have any significant effect on forgiveness levels. The study therefore supports the existing research that forgiveness education is beneficial to one’s psychological well-being. It was, therefore, recommended that forgiveness education be utilised in improving the forgiveness level and mental well-being of married couples. en_US
