dc.description.abstract The study specifically assessed the causes of job stress, the stress management strategies adopted and it also examined the effect of stress management strategies on the performance of clergies at the International Central Gospel Church of Ghana, specifically those in the Central/Western Region. The study was underpinned by the person-environment fit theory and the quantitative approach and descriptive research design were adopted. Using the census technique, valid data was obtained from 103 clergies out of 110 clergies in the study area. Structured questionnaires were administered to gather data from the respondents which was then processed using the IBM SPSS Statistics version 24. Analysis was then carried out using the mean, standard deviation scores and regression analytical tools. The study found work life imbalance as the major job stressor, whereas the stress management strategies were found to have significant positive effect on the performance levels of the clergies. It was concluded that, stress management strategies play significant roles in improving the performance levels of the clergies at the church. The study recommended that management of ICGC should implement strict measures and practices aimed at constantly improving their stress management strategies. en_US
